But the Redhead triathlete put it all behind him to win the event on a day when Gloucester provided a very warm welcome.

Warringah Triathlon club took the Metro title, Mingara on the Central Coast won the provincial crown and Mudgee claimed the regional award at the New South Wales Club titles near Anna Bay.
Redhead’s Boyd Conrick showed up many of the younger competitors to be the quickest on the day.

Local triathlon club Tomaree remains a chance of claiming the Country New South Wales Club title with official scores still being calculated tonight.
Redhead’s Boyd Conrick is already celebrating, after showing up a stack of younger competitors at the Club Championships today near Anna Bay.

Redhead’s Boyd Conrick is now the best local chance for Sunday’s Olympic distance triathlon on the Newcastle Foreshore.
It comes as his good mate Nathan Stewart recovers in hospital with his summer season in disarray.

Boyd Conrick says a new series which begins in Newcastle on the 22nd of October is a step forward, but only a professional national-style competition will deliver olympic medals.
LUCK OF THE IRISH AT MAITLAND TRIATHLON

An Irishman with relatively no experience in triathlon has stunned his rivals to win the Maitland short-course event.
The race also doubled as the state championships with Newcastle’s Regina Wright taking that title, while in the men’s, Bryan Keane collected the crown in just his third such race.
