GOLD COAST ICON GOES UP IN FLAMES

A Gold Coast icon has gone up in flames.

The Vekkia Roma Italian restaurant which was the cornerstone of business in Burleigh Heads has erupted.

Fire investigators are checking if a pizza oven caused the blaze.
