COFFS SURFERS SAVE TOURISTS CAUGHT IN SURF
February 4, 2010
Three Coffs Harbour surfers have been applauded for their quick thinking after saving a group of tourists who got into trouble at Park Beach this morning.
The surfers sprang to action when they noticed the three novice boardriders being swept along the North Wall by a rip.
Before lifeguards, police and ambulance could reach the distressed out-of-towners, they’d already been saved.
“Boardriders rescue more people than lifeguards and the volunteer firesavers put together, so another great job.”
