THOROUGHBRED BREEDERS TAKE ON PROPOSED BICKHAM COAL MINE

The Hunter Valley thoroughbred industry has declared war on a proposed Bickham coal mine near Murrurundi.

During a mass rally today, protesters claimed the mine could destroy the Upper Hunter’s water catchment and jeopardise the region’s internationally recognised equine industry.
