GREEN LEADS OPEN ON DAY ONE

Host and Hunter golfer Nathan Green holds a one-shot lead after day one of the New South Wales Open at the Vintage.
A flurry of late birdies saw Green take the lead on his final hole.
Fellow US PGA Tour pro James Nitties is among a trio in second.
But it was Belmont amateur Brendan Smith and last year’s winner Aaron Townsend who really kept the large gallery entertained.
