FIRE DESTROYS BOATS AT MARINA

Two boats have been destroyed and another damaged by fire at Soldiers Point Marina in Port Stephens overnight.
The drama began with an explosion and fire on a sports cruiser which was moored along side a house boat which also caught on fire. The burning vessels drifted into another yacht before being beached.
A man was pulled from the water suffering burns and head injuries.
Cleanup and salvage operations are continuing.
Actually, the fire is believed to have started on the sports cruiser, not the houseboat as stated in your article. The houseboat was moored next to the cruiser at the time which resulted in the houseboat catching alight.
The report does say the fire started on the sports cruiser!
