GLOUCESTER SAYS NO THANKS TO COAL EXPLORATION

A show of people power has put the state government on notice over three mining exploration leases up for renewal at Gloucester.

Around 1,000 people turned out in the town last night in opposition to the mining of coal right up to the town’s edge.

The community has already collected about 700 signatures for a petition for the Premier.
