The Hunter Valley has had the coldest overnight minimums in at least a decade. There have been numerous sub zero temperatures, frosts and fogs and it's been a very similar story up and down the ranges and across the tablelands. That trend is set to continue.
It is incredibly clear across the nation at the moment. There is a dominating, blocking high that is stopping any frontal activity from coming in. For the entire eastern seaboard that means the showers will be quite consistent so it's not going to be pretty. When you get a big high sitting there continually just pumping in the moisture, we often get these inland features starting to form. We get an inland trough and that moisture will be driven in and then we will see an inland rain event, and that is going to occur at the end of the week.
It will continue to be very very cold at night, frosts could be severe and we'll see some fog patches. It'll be partly cloudy with showers along the coast.
